When I had surgery on my Achilles tendon, I spent most of a week laying in bed high as a kite on Vicodin. It was a drowsy, but awake state of mind - I can't really SLEEP when I'm taking Vicodin, I just sort of float there.
I think I watched at least 10 hours a day of Midsomer Murders. There are tons and tons and years and years of that show. After awhile they all sort of ran together in my head but it was vaguely pleasant.
I never saw the cable series Arrested Development when it was on. But I caught a rerun on cable (FX I think) one day while surfing and immediately became addicted to it. So I went to Blockbuster and watched all four seasons in the course of three days or so!
I also did pretty much the same thing after seeing a rerun of Curb Your Enthusiasm: another four-season marathon in a few days.
I spent about 18 hrs watching movies in a day at the end of a month when Netflix lost the rights to Starz a long time ago, I had to get all these hit movies in while I could. I didn't even want to watch movies anymore by the 4th one but just kept going because I got obsessed with knowing what happens. I also watched 2 movies before I went to bed the previous night. It makes me wonder how those film critics deal with those huge film festivals like Cannes and Toronto where they spend days doing nothing but seeing film after film.
Probably when I was introduced to Dr Who, or here lately Switched at Birth. lol I binge watch both of those shows. But when I was actually very first introduced to Netflix, I binged watched all the seasons of One Tree Hill. It's my favorite show and I've got all the seasons on DVD but there was something new and awesome about watching them on Netflix. lol
