I took journalism courses too. We had to spell correctly, we had to use the CORRECT word or phrase, not something that sounds similar, we had to pronounce words correctly, including names. We had to research everything. Now whether I am reading print or online media or watching TV or listening to radio, it's half-assed. They either never learned or they don't care or they're stupid.

And a lot of it has become just smutty click-bait. It's slanted, it's crass, and it's filled with daily depravity.

I don't have cable TV anyway, but I am "weaning" myself off of online news sources as well.

I've decided that if something happens that I need to know about, the news will find it's way to me.
