We don't watch TV ourselves meaning we don't have cable but we do stream Netflix and of course have a DVD player.

Ditto. I absolutely hate commercials so my TV hadn't been turned on for ages. I have over 1000 DVDs of movies, TV seasons, Concerts, etc.

Since I am hearing impaired they all have CC/SDH on them. I watch them all on my PC.

500 channels of nothing on and $150.00 or more to watch nothing. I'll pass.

I forgot to mention I have NetFlix and they have CC/SDH too. For $10 a month it's a steal.

I have already been with out tv for a year and then some. I canceled the subscription as soon as hubby died. I never watched it and not going to pay another 75 dollars a month for the little bit I might watch. I have not missed it at all. I do have ROKU but have not even turned that on since about November/December. Seriously considering just getting rid of the tv all together. It is taking up space in my small house. But he had just bought it less than a year before he died.

I would not be happy with out the internet. I live in the middle of nowhere in a town of 160 people. I have no kids or family and only a couple of friends that are married and both work. OK I do have family in MO OK KS AND AZ I have not seen any of them in over 20 years.I am in Idaho so they are a very long way away. The internet brings people into my life. Some times I go several days with out speaking to a human. I am fine with that as long as I can connect with my internet people. I also use it as my long distance phone with an OBI phone so another connection to the outside world. Otherwise it is just me and the animals here I am fine with that but it would be pretty lonely with out my life line internet. I also order things in in winter when I am snowed in. YES UPS can get here they always go on the bad roads I do not. I do keep the driveway open for them.

TV (as in network/cable) is already gone from my life, but I love movies and good drama series

I feel I need the internet so I can delve into my interests, though.
