"We now must notify you that Flixster Video will be shutting down its website and discontinuing all related operations in the U.S. effective February 20, 2018. "

One more case for buying media on discs, or whichever physical storage you use, DVDs, BDs, CDs, etc.
You pay for a service, buy movies on either this Dodo bird, Vudu, or whatever, and then they shut down. Boo!
No way am I trusting Vudu or anything else; I will stick with BDs.

BDs?

Still not enough reason for me to buy physical media. If something isn't available streaming, I don't need to watch it that badly. There's always something else I can watch. I don't want the clutter.

Agreed. Same reason I always buy books and CDs. If a service goes down, at least you have the hard copies. People are really throwing caution to the wind by relying so much on digital.

I assume he mean Blu Ray discs.

I have a small collection of dvds and Blu Ray, but I donít buy them myself. Not so much anymore, but I used to get them as gifts occasionally.
