In the past couple days I watched a Neil young documentary and a Dr Dre documentary I was surprised to see both were influenced by kraftwerk. Dr. Dre more than Neil young.
I am almost forty and I am surprised I have not heard of kraftwerk until now.
It's not hard to think that Neil Young's fine electronics-heavy album Trans (1982) was influenced by Kraftwerk, especially the songs "Computer Age" and "Sample and Hold."
In the '80s, I listened to Kraftwerk a bunch, but mainly Autobahn, Radio-Aktivitat and (their best album, and the only one I still like) The Man-Machine, with the hit "The Robots."
I literally listen to 'Boing Boom Tschack/Musique Nonstop' daily.
