I was working in a bank, and about to say sayonara to husband #1. I do not remember the death of John Lennon as vividly as other deaths, such as President Kennedy, or Princess Diana. I did appreciate his talent though.

I still remember the total shock and sadness I felt. I also remember when they had the lowlife in custody...I wanted to go to the police station and kill him myself! The world lost a legend and for days, seemed that every radio station had tributes to John Lennon.

Where were you?

The only correction to Howard is that John was shot 4 times out of the 5 shots fired at him in rapid succession.

I heard about it on the news, wasn't really affected by it, but I remember a lot of people being upset at the time.

I was watching Monday Night Football too. Husband was in the bathroom when the announcement was made and when he came out I said, "John Lennon is dead." Husband said, "no sh*t!" well, I guess there won't be a reunion now."

Me too. This was a non-event in my life. People get killed in NY every day.

Why was this thread opened in TV and not in Celebrities?

Also would've helped to include the date (12/8/2018) in the title.
