There's thread titled....
Would you rather go without TV or INTERNET for a year?

... but as I suspected, internet would likely come out FAR ahead since it covers so much ground these days. Rather than try to ask in that thread, I thought I'd start my own.

So we redefine TV as:
To also include movies and documentaries, etc.

Anything the TV hardware is used for...
-TV
-Chromecasting
-playing console/video games on
-etc.

Anything that comes from the TV format...
-if you watch Netflix via internet (movies, TV series, shows, etc.), this counts as "TV"
-TV on cable TV still counts
-streaming TV over the internet still counts as TV
-watching related stuff on YouTube counts as TV
-watching TV on you phone/tablet.. also counts TV
-etc.

TV because I need the internet for my job, and I'd starve to death within a year.

It would have to be TV.

I'd spend a year reading books to get really smart and then go back to watching TV and video games, not using one bit of the knowledge I have acquired.

If I could just use the internet for work related sites, and for business related ones (bills, etc), I would choose to go without internet. As far as "Entertainment". I lived for 20 years without it and I got on fine.

I don’t think this is a fair question since you decided to classify YouTube and streaming apps as “TV.” I rarely watch TV, but I watch YouTube all the time and wouldn’t be able to give it up. Nor would I be willing to give up the Internet because I use it for too many things.
