Favorite Comedy TV Shows of the 90s:
Friends (1994-2004) (mainly 90s but 00s hybrid)
Cheers (1982-1993) (mainly 80s but 90s hybrid)
Married With Children (1987-1997) (mainly 90s but 80s hybrid)
Everybody Loves Raymond (1996-2005) (mainly 00s but 90s hybrid)
The Kind of Queens (1998-2007) (mainly 00s but 90s hybrid)
Saved By the Bell (1989-1993) (mainly 90s but 80s hybrid)
Frasier (1993-2004) (mainly 90s but 00s hybrid)
Full House (1987-1995) (mainly 90s but 80s hybrid)
Home Improvement (1991-1999) (90s)
Family Matters (1989-1998) (mainly 90s but 80s hybrid)
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990-1996) (mainly 90s but early on is 80s hybrid)
That 70s Show (1998-2006) (mainly 00s but 90s hybrid)
Becker (1998-2004) (mainly 00s but 90s hybrid)

Friends is now 25 lol. That is still my reason for Friends being my favorite of the bunch. All these shows make me laugh. They take away everyday worries people have.

Just seeing that the title says sitcom/series, so that means series that also weren't comedies? If so,

Beverly Hills 90210 (1990-2000)
Melrose Place (1992-1999)
Murder, She Wrote (1984-1996) (more 80s, but also very 90s too)

are also at the top of my 90s list, between Friends and Cheers.

There were a handful mentioned that I liked at the time (ie: friends), but the ones I would still watch today as repeats are:

frasier
west wing
as time goes by
northern exposure
sopranos
golden girls
murder she wrote

I only watch reruns. Seinfeld, Rosanne, Frazier. Were those 90s?

Married With Children
Step by Step
Cheers
Keeping Up Appearances
Full House
Roseanne
ALF (it was often rerun in the 90s)
Baywatch
Murder She Wrote
Yo soy Betty la fea (Ugly Betty original, 1999-2001)
Just Shoot Me
Everybody Loves Raymond
Family Matters

many reruns of 80s shows were fixtures in the 90s as well so kinda also define the era.

They sure were

Frasier began in 1993, Seinfeld in 1989 and Rosanne in 1988.

While *technically* the first episode of Seinfeld aired in 1989, the remaining 4 episodes of the first season aired in 1990. Then there was almost a year break until the 2nd season began, which was only a half season anyway. No one was really watching it until the 3rd or 4th season. It took a little while to catch on.

Tales From the Crypt; funny, cheesy, and a pretty good testament to the popularity of EC comics.
