Basically the title.

I like watching movies. There are some movies that are very artistic, and some which seem to be purely entertaining. However, I find myself entertained by some movies I would call artistic. Is there any real distinction between the two? There are also movies and other media that I would call art that are not entertaining to me https://trackeasy.fun/usps/ https://showbox.tools/. Is this purely a matter of taste, or is there any real difference?

A movie that is just entertainment is simply that: entertaining. A movie that is artistic is also attempting to illuminate a deeper aspect of the human condition in addition to being entertaining. (Whether it succeeds at that goal is of course a subjective opinion.)

Art isn't about entertaining people, and needs no applause or justification. Entertainment is intended for a specific purpose. Two quite different worlds that sometimes (maybe even often) collide or mix.
