Captain Tuttle on "M*A*S*H." The episode's IMDb page lists him as played by "Self."

Harry Hole from the Norwegian Scandi-Noir series by Jo Nesbo. The first time I saw it in print I thought the author must be having fun with us.

Sabra Palfrey from a very long ago novel about a single woman in the industrial age.
Lambykin, Shari Lewis's friend.

Frances McDormand in Fargo and Noomi Rapace in the Dragon Tattoo trilogy were brilliantly acted. For those, I think it’s the character, not their name.

People are listing the Goldfinger Honor Blackman character. Personally, I think it’s really trite. If you’re going to be over the top trite, someone said Bigus Dickus. That’s a win!

Ha! Interesting.

I worked with a Rosita Erikson. She was born in the Philippines but her parents were Chinese. She married her Swedish-American pen pal.

Lisbeth Salander is one of the most interesting fictional characters I've read in recent years.

Captain Brandon Birmingham in "The Flame and the Flower". This would definitely NOT fly today, tho. So don't read if you are offended by what goes on in gothic romance novels.

True story. At age 16 I read this book and "fell in love" with the "hero", above. I decided then if I had a boy I would name him Brandon.

Six years go by. Daughter's daycare has a sister/brother client. The boy's name was Brandon. I asked his mother one day how she chose his name. She replied "When I was 16 I read this book......" I knew right away and asked her "Was it The Flame and the Flower" and she said yes........'Nuff said.

Disclaimer: at this point in my life, knowing what happens in the book and with attitudes what they are today, including my own now, I would not read this book again and do not recommend it unless you have the stomach for it.
