I saw two shows on my visit to NYC several years ago and didn’t know what to expect. I saw ‘Wicked’ and “Something Rotten”. I enjoyed both more than I thought I would, but SR was very clever and funny with great music and a great actor named Christian Borlee.

Anything Stephen Sondheim:

Company
Into The Woods
A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To the Forum
Sweeney Todd
A Little Night Music

Or anything Cole Porter:

Anything Goes
Can-Can
Kiss Me, Kate

Aside from that, Carousel, My Fair Lady, South Pacific and West Side Story. Iconic.
