Jay Leno isn't that funny except for his big chin and his big hair. I always thought they were selling themselves short after he took over for Johnny Carson.

I can't wait for Conan to take his place.

Count me as a Jay Leno fan. I've liked him ever since his appearences on Late Night w/Letterman back in the 80's. (Remember "What's my beef?")

Jay just comes across as a genuinely nice guy, IMO. I like his monlogues. I love Jaywalking and his headlines segment. He's also one of the few people who can do political humor without being mean and partisan.

Whether removing him from the 11:30 timeslot is a mistake or not remains to be seen--the ratings will tell. I think Conan will do just fine, though.

Leno fan here too. I used to like Letterman better but he is too political. That's not why I watch those shows.

I like Leno and O Brien.

I don't care what he does as long as its late night and he's not taking up a prime time slot.
I thought that was happening though - Conan is taking his slot and Leno is moving to 10:00 or 10:30 EST. I'm unhappy about that. Btw reality ick and more late night.........

Personally I think all the American late night talk shows are fairly lame. I like the idea - but it SOOOOO obvious that many negotiations have been made about what questions they can ask a celebrity, what they are allowed to discuss.
As near as I can tell - its
1) kids
2) your latest project
Seriously I am so tired of Letterman and everyone's kids.

I think Graham Norton on BBCA does a remarkable job of having a more personal and intimate encounter with favorite actors/actresses/comedians/muscians even though I 'm sure he's under the same restrictions. I love the way he involves the audience and ties it to the current guest star.

Heads and shoulders above what anyone is doing here. Leno, Letterman, Conan, Craig what's his name, and the late late night guy are all basically copies of each other. One guest at a time, talk headliner up front about their kids, show a clip, end with a band.
SNOOOZZZZZZZZZ!

You can you tube Graham Norton and see a lot of good clips
The below one is with Kevin Bacon and couldn't be done in the states, british tv is more lax about sex and swearing - but in that same show he had 2 guys from the audience re-enact the Footloose scene where they were playing chicken on the tractors - that was pretty funny and could easily be done in the US.

It's funny you should mention Graham Norton. I'd never heard of him until yesterday when I saw this clip of him and Shirley Bassey, where he does a prank call (but not a mean one).

I will miss the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. I hope his new show will still include a monologue and Headlines. I used to watch David Letterman but I got tired of it. I can't listen to Conan O'Brien for one minute.

Can't STAND Leno.

What a pathetic sad excuse of a replacement for Carson.
