CHICAGO (May 13) -- The iconic redheaded orphan Annie is ending her time on newspaper comics pages after 85 years.

Say goodbye to this readhead in the news pages next month: Annie is going to the Web in hopes of creating a new fan base.Tribune Media Services announced today that it will cease syndication of the "Annie" strip on June 13.
