Dear friends:
My good friend is admitted by University of Oregon, Eugene, but he missed the housing application deadline, so he needs to find a homestay, can anybody give me some good information about homestay in Eugene, all some agents who can provide this kind of serves, thanks all of you!
p.s: he will come to Eugene in Sept, 2010.

According to this recent article in the Register-Guard, the campus housing situation is pretty tight this year. Perhaps off-campus housing, such as the newly built Courtside apartments mentioned in the article, would be a better bet. Note that there is also a Facebook group open to those on the university's waiting list that gives them a forum to find roommates and explore other rental options.

I was an exchange student in Eugene 2 years ago and found a wonderful homestay family at the UO Friendship Foundation for International Students. Your friend can try filling in the International Student Request Form here. Good luck!
