I was having a conversation with a friend about how new small businesses get funded around here and she mentioned that there is some pot money laundering going on. Is she correct? It sure would explain a lot of things.

I find her comment amusing. How would she know this? Does she have personal experience with seeing this so called pot money coming in and being laundered?

There is an association called the Small Business Association that does a lot of funding of these business.

$32.3 billion dollars a year.

Seriously though, even if there was an "official number," it'd be inaccurate and a guess at best.

It's not beyond the realm of possibility, as that's becoming a good way for illegal cash to get moved around these days.

Well, yeah. It's not unusual if you sell wholesale or if you work in restaurants.

There's money laundering going on in every city, to think otherwise is ignorance.

As Oregon is known to be in the top 5 states in Marijuana usage, and also indoor growing of Marijuana, and one of the top 3 or 4 states in out door growing it is very plain there will be money laundering of Marijuana money.

I'm always finding money in my laundry, and I am in Eugene, so I'm sure it happens to more people than just me. But I've never washed enough to start a small business with. What kind of detergent is your friend using? Perhaps I should think about switching... I'd love to open up my own tea shop.
