So her post was over a year ago. I wonder what the result was. Did she move to Eugene? How did she and her do? Her question certainly stirred up enough with fourteen pages of posts.

I really enjoy when a poster returns and tells us how things turned out.

I was wondering the same thing? I am in the same situation now, my husband maybe transferring from old hot Arizona to colder Eugene, Oregon and we are a Christian family. The difference is this..we are from the Bay Area in California originally and it has been 5 1/2 years of CULTURE SHOCK down here in Yuma Arizona....I am looking forward to moving out and away from a very narrow minded community.....that has it's ups & downs...it lives and dies by winter visitors(especially our Canadian ones)and don't have any ideas..cause they are so scared of competition down this way.....I look forward to getting back to culture and a lifestyle that we are accustomed to. Do we attend church? yes, as a matter of fact we do...do I shove my views on to others? as a matter of fact I don't.....it is such a church turf war down here(think 400 churches for a city of less than 100,000)....I miss green trees, grass and culture......
