Default African American and wanting to move to Eugene

My husband and I are an AA couple with a young child. We are interested in moving to Oregon and like what we have heard and read about Eugene. We are moving from Maryland because we would like a change. We have fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest. However, I would like to know about the Blacks living in Eugene and surrounding area. We could like to be a part of a true community where neighbors know and look out for each other. I would also like information about the housing and jobs in the area for 2 educated adults. Thanks so much for the information.

Most bigger cities in Oregon are like "all colors" cities.

You can see it at the universities too - even U of Oregon.
