There are several websites that will help you calculate distance from place to place, as well as approximate travel times. Mapquest is a popular one, and both Google and Yahoo have mapping tools as well.

I-105 Coburg Rd on ramp Eugene to Portland's I-84 comes right in at about 1 hour 45 minutes at 72 MPH. (limit is 65, most drive between 70 and 75.) This is without traffic, of course, something that seems to become more rare everyday.

Unless you drive at 2 AM, there is always traffic.

I guess "traffic" is a relative term. Yes, you do have to share the road on the way up to Portland. Most of the time you will do the speed limit or higher, but periodically there are accidents and there are always those clowns who hang out in the left or middle lane going 64. Rush hour results in congestion from about Wilsonville north.

But hey--if you are used to traffic in the Bay Area, Los Angeles or even Seattle, the drive up to Portland is not bad.
