Default neighborhoods in Eugene and Springfield

I am looking for information about the various neighborhoods in Eugene. I have seen quite a few houses that I like in the Danebo area, but would love some more information about the area. My husband and I have one young son and would like to move to an area that is near public parks and other activities. We would also like a safe area and quiet area. We would like to limit our home cost to $240,000. I have seen a lot of ranchers, but would prefer 2 story older homes or the newer homes that are designed to look like craftsman or cottages. Any information would be helpful.
