Well that's an old message from Oct. 2006. There wasn't nearly as many people here back then.
Eugene is a mostly liberal large city for Oregon. There's Plenty of rain with nice summers.

I posted a response to some of those questions in this thread. GOod paying jobs are a bit hard to come by. If you have any other questions, post them here - and I will try to answer them.

Considering moving to Eugene Oregon
I'm considering moving to Eugene. I was wondering what the economy is like there? Is there alot of health food stores and green type living there? I'm a woman who is a mgr. of a large health store on the gulf coast at this time. I'm a liberal and don't like being asked as the first question in meeting someone (what church do I attend.) This is a usual thing in the south. As far as religion I'm more (new age/metaphysical.) Is Eugene a good place for someone who is very much into nature walking and is there affordable places to live and is it pet friendly? I would have to rent and I'm bringing my small dog and cat with me.

Eugene Oregon
Thanks for the replies I consider affordable to be under $700.00 month. I recently heard that the air in Eugene is very bad for people with allergies? It is the reason I am looking to move (from Fl.) I heard that Eugene is a valley and that the air just sorta (lack of a better word) hangs there and the pollution makes the air quality very bad? I was considering Eugene until I heard about that. Maybe Portland would be a better choice for me.

Oregon has the distinction of being the least churched state in the nation. Only about 30% of the population claims any particular religion, though the bible beaters are pretty vocal and think they are in a majority.
The weather here is a lot nicer than Florida, so most people find outdoor things to do on weekends, from working in the yard to trips to the mountains or the coast.
