I live in Alabama currently but have been pondering moving to Oregon,,,mainly around Astoria.. I would love to learn more about the area from personal experience rather that what I can find on Google. I am a 47 yr old divorced woman with grown kids and not much family to leave behind.. i am a medical receptionist at an urgent care office so it would be a single income. what are the jobs like and are the people friendly with deep southerners moving town?

This is the Eugene subforum. If you want to know about Astoria you should post to the Oregon forum. Astoria is a pretty small town with a relatively weak economy. Your biggest struggle will be finding work. If you pull that off then the rest will fall into place.
