My fiance and I have just been accepted into an apartment directly across from Meadow Park (right between Kelly Butte and Meadow Park). We were wondering if that's a safe/good area, we are use to keeping our cars in a garage with our current apartment and are hoping it's a safe area to walk in, low in vandalism. From what it sounds like, the landlord claimed that they get a lot of college kids in the complexes surrounding this area (being only two miles from the college) but we are not as concerned by the college kids than we are with, say, the meth heads lol.

Why not look for a duplex or something similar that has a garage?

Thank you very much for the information concerning Springfield and surrounding area, we have been facing a great challenge in keeping costs down, having 3 pets etc. After having applied and paid security deposits at numerous places, we just decided to go with what we last got.
