Utah eh, i passed through there few times to get to Colourado. I play poker too, there are places with tournaments and private people that hold fun ones. Socially speaking, it depends what you like to do. There are the clubs, poker, poker, bowling etc..or camping and camping. What do you like to do?

Hey - go climb Spencer's Butte! It's FREE. We finally did a few weekends ago and it was awesome. We even met some nice people at the top. And a nice dog, too. We took one trail up, and the other trail down. The trail we took up was I think the front side, and it was a bit tricky in places. We had to stop and let the kids rest a bit but if you are a fit and healthy 24-year old you shouldn't have any probs at all. The way we went down was I think called the back side and it was super easy, just longer. It's beautiful though and now that we've been we want to go all the time.

The day we went it was overcast and cloudy, it was surreal when we got to the top because of all the mist and grey... we are planning to go back on a clear day for a totally different experience.

If you like the outdoors there is lots to do here... and lots of groups to get out and do things with. But if you're an indoorsy sort of person, you might get a little bored maybe... unless you can find some other indoorsy people to hang out with.

Good luck with everything!

Also - you can check out the city of Eugene's recreation guide for more ideas: Recreation Services (http://www.eugene-or.gov/portal/server.pt?space=CommunityPage&control=SetCommunity &CommunityID=221&PageID=0 - broken link)

Maybe that link works? google "city of eugene recreation" if it doesn't...
