Well... I am your second not so hot European woman. I just went at food store and thought we cannot be all this ugly... Maybe it was a time of the day when uglies are hungry.

F Y I, Britain is a land of wide regional differences in both general appearances of people and cultures. Someone from Wales or Cornwall will look generally different from someone from Lancashire who will look different again from someone from Tyneside.
I'm also sure that many of these opinions come from people who spent a few days in London, which is one of the most cosmopolitan cities on earth, so it stands a good chance that many the hoardes of ugly women you saw were not even British.
What's wrong with just respecting people and keeping ugly, misinformed opinions to yourself if you don't have anything good or accurate to say, or perhaps you'd like me to start perpetuating the many negative stereotypes about Americans?

I agree. Generalizing about British women saying they are all ugly is like someone saying all American women are fat and one cheeseburger away from a heart attack. Both assumptions are flat out false, and most of these opinions are based on very little evidence and very limited exposure. Not all British women have bad teeth, it's actually pretty exagerrated, just like not all British men have bum chins and large protruding noses and buck teeth

Bad teeth, hehe The funny thing is that Brits have among the best teeth of Europeans. It just doesn't look that way as their teeth are usually not shiny white, which however is often mistaken for healthy teeth these days.

Well, you're not Swedish, you're Finnish (assuming that because Riippa looks like a Finnish word). So, according to a lot of the shallow people on here, you're automatically ugly since only Swedes are beautiful

I definitely agree. I see more beautiful Brits walking the Windsor high street and Oxford Street than I do on that list

Thanks for posting this. Your CD posting name is a clearly a reflection on your character, and I mean that as a compliment.
The problem with us British people is that sometimes we are *too* self-depreciating and do not defend ourselves enough against the onslaught of foreign ignorance. We take the p*ss out of ourselves, which ends up perpetuating negative stereotypes that foreigners have about us. In reality, no one country has the monopoly on ugliness or beauty, as you said.
Perhaps I'm the minority of British people who will actually defend our country and at least try to ensure the truth is known, rather than lie down and put up with this nonsense from a nation that is considered an ally of ours.

You know what I also find ironic? Most white Americans are British Isle blood anyway. So, in reality, Americans take the **** out of their own women when they say British women are ugly. Why don't Americans say women in northern Wisconsin, Michigan, or Minnesota are hot? They are mostly of Swedish ancestry up there so, that begs the question

Finnish women fits more into the blonde stereotype than the swedish does.

Actually, I see a lot of good-looking women around ( in Wisconsin at least...)
( And I live close to University campus..)
PS. And oh, I don't find that American women look the same ( for the most part) as Britons do.
Another thing - thanks to some poster from Britain who posted some pics of Brits in taverns or whatever, (because) now I've realized that some particular type of white Americans whose origin I couldn't quite pinpoint, it's actually British type.
