I'm unsure, if I should stay in my hometown, Toronto, or if I should move to Berlin, Germany. I literally had a 'crush' on Berlin, because it's so diverse, exciting, artsy and very cheap regarding prices or cost of living compared to other European cities. I've heard that there is still a high unemployment rate in Berlin, however, im sure to find a job there. So, what would you recommend me to do? Any opinions which city is better?
I dont know why people like Berlin... it`s a mystery to me...
Melanie / Germany
Because it's unique, no city is like Berlin. It's has this special vibe, which is very appealing. Germany as a whole is a great country, but Berlin is the only city in Germany, which is a 'real' metropolis.
You'll better off in Canada than everywhere in Europe period.
If Berlin is cheaper than most European cities, there should be a reason --> Jobs !!
Move to Montreal instead same artistic vibe & better quality of life.
If you can find a job and don't have to worry too much about visa regulations I'd say go for it. International experience is always good and you can return to Canada whenever you feel like it. I personally prefer to just do things instead of thinking "What, if..." in 30 years.
Germany is a rich country and you can have a good living there.
