Its weird that Latin America is an option but not Israel. I have confused many Sicilians for being Jewish but I rarely confuse a Sicilian for being a George Lopez like Mestizo.

Well I should have put Israel with Lebanon and Syria and called the option "Levantines" and looking at the answers, I should have also put Armenia because I've seen a few posts asking why Armenia wasn't an option.

How do we know how did they look like back in the 8 century???
Second, we have evidence of EYE witness saying that Moors were black..
Not only that Moors means black people...
So why Europeans call them Moors?? because they were blacks..
I have posted something that you just clearly avoid.. of a person writing the invasion of France by the Moors and say they are black as black in, and the only white is their teeth...
I am sorry but your point of berbers is ridiculous, we dont know how berbers were back then and if in fact they were berbers...

Okay think of it this way. There might have been SOME African slaves that were brought by the Arabs.. after all they did own some slaves and probably brought them along. Secondly, if all Europeans had ever seen was people who were very pale skinned, don't you think someone with darker skin even if not black, would seem black by comparison?
Herodotus also called the Egyptians "black with hair like wool" and are Egyptians black with hair like wool? Not that I know of.
