I've assumed people were Moroccan and they turned out to be Dominican and vice versa too.

Not to surprising since both ethnic groups have African ancestry.

Sicilians common look (Black hair, brown eyes, tan skin) can pass in all those areas. There is also no Latin American look. There are the decendents of Sicilian immigrants in Latin America but the place is way too diverse to have a look. Anyone can pass for Latin American.

Not all Puerto Ricans have African ancestry. Most are Eurocentric. Puerto Rico saw a more European immigration from a multitude of countries then anything else.

Puerto Ricans are way diverse, from Blond hair, blue eyes, White skin to Black skin, afro texture hair. Dominicans are more commonly Afro-centric but I have have known White Dominicans as well. Latin America = Racially diverse, no look.

This is true.
About Puerto Ricans though, most of the ones here in the US tend to be mixed and not as white as the ones back on the island.

I disagree with that. Come to NYC. The ones in the slums with a million flags are often more mixed. The ones in the burbs and wealthier areas of the city, not so much. Depends on socioeconomic standing more then anything. A lot of the wealthier ones, you will never know. You just think they are an Italian around here.

Well, the wealthier ones people probably see and just assume they are white because they don't look stereotypically Puerto Rican.. which is true, because to most Americans the stereotypical Puerto Rican is some variation of a mulatto or triracial look.

Sicilians were never that dark before Moorish rule, neither was Spain.

I really agree with this... Ever heard of the Black Saint that Sicilian celebrate and he was a priest in Sicily 500 years ago and he is a black man
I often think those that deny are really racist deep down and I am going to say this as being partly Sicilian with a mother that has hair that is a Afriacn texture, and I kid you not! (everyone, my friends always wonder if my mom is part black even she look pretty white with tight thick curls that look like the 70s of disco african americans... my mom never had long hair).
I knew a Italian lady from Naple and she even saw some Sicilians with African hair. It is very rare but it can pop up when the person born. Just like this case on the news where this guy thought his girlfriend cheated on him over a black guy because his baby turn out black and the both couples are white looking and they come to find that the father great great great grandfather was black when they done some DNA test.
