In my area we have a Filipino male who is here temporarily, he is from Sweden and his wife is a Swedish woman, blonde hair and blue eyes. It makes me sick how so many American women (mostly White) try to talk her out of being with him and even try to push her into dating another guy. Granted that the man is a bit chubby but regardless, a lot of the time the women here say "she is dating an Asian, how low must her standards be".
I hope this is just Virginia.

I understand that Asian men are not great in looks department, but now I realize - I have no idea what are they all about otherwise?  I mean in relations, in family life? How are they different from Whites in this respect?

I concur. And I would add that all that talk of "dating 9's" and "dating 10's" makes man sound like both a nerd and a creep - hardly an appealing combination.

Ironically Indian females and Korean females get it the worst when dating outside of their race from their male ethnic counterparts.
Someday when you land your first 'white girl', I doubt she'll have one-tenth the problems with people discouraging her from dating outside of her race than an Indian female or Korean female would from their respective cultures/families.

Most other parts of the world don't have as much problem with race as the US, probably because we're the ones who invented skin-color discrimination. There are some exceptions tho, particularly Russia and Australia.
