Why are French people so superior and have the best culture
I watch French movies and they are so superior to everyone else and have the best and sophisticated culture, even the Japanese consider them to have the best culture in the world. Most people would choose to be French if they could

I think Scandinavian culture is the best in the world. And I am Swedish!

I don't understand what you mean but French make some amazing movies which stick with you forever, pretty much all Hollywood movies suck you in quickly and leave you feeling empty, searching for something to grasp to yet all you come up with is air.

It's nice, but dull and less sophisticated than the French. Have you seen 'let the right one in'? (Swedish movie) if so i have a question for you

I find French culture overrated. Americans obsess over it too much and it ruins it for everyone else.
I agree with glass_of_merlot, I love Scandinavian culture and everything Scandinavian.

I don't think the French have a monopoly on decent films. A lot of French films are less commercial and more independent art house than more mainstream Hollywood films. Then again there have been some very good Hollywood films over the years, and America and other countries also have very good independent film industries.
I don't recall the French excelling at most of the international film festivals or indeed in terms of the more mainstream film awards such as the Oscars or Baftas. 'The Artist' being a noteable exception.
This is obviously your personal opinion, and you are entitled to it, but it's not backed up by hard facts or statistics and is probably not shared by a lot of people from around the globe.
In the UK we occasionaly have a season of French films on certain channels, indeed 'Water Lillies' was on Film 4 late last night ('Hidden' was on not long ago), and we have all seen French Classics such as Betty Blue or Delicatessen or the French Canadian film C.R.A.Z.Y. French films are often very good but other countries also have some very good film industries, it's just a question of personal opinion and preference as to which films you think are the best in the world, and it's not backed up by anything but your personal view.

Give me facts & statistics that French people are the most superior and have the best of the best culture. Not your bias and poorly based opinions. Now scram!

I'm sorry, but I won't dare to explain my post. I'm not French and I'm afraid some superior French user is gonna shoot me down with his opinion. An opinion even the Japanese bow down to. I'm afraid I don't watch enough French movies. This probably explains why I am not as sophisticated the the French and don't feel the deep and strong desire to be French. I'm just an utter failure because I am not French.
And I see there's another reason.
Now who the hell would not want to be French right now.
Wait, never-mind. I'd rather be Hungarian.
