This is odd to me. You would want to live in the most western of eastern Eastern European countries.
If I were to live there. I'd avoid touristy and westernized places, although I like Prague, Berlin and Krakow. Vienna not as much.
There is a dark harrowing history in these cities, and some of the most creative and passionate people I've met.
I don't go to Eastern Europe in search of the West. That's like looking for McD's in Moscow. What on earth is the point???
To be fair, the question of the thread was where in Eastern Europe would you move to if you HAD TO. As in if you were forced to and had no choice. Since a lot of people probably wouldn't choose to move to Eastern Europe, to say they'd go to the most "Western" place would be a fair answer if they prefer that. Of course if the question was where you'd most like to visit, you would have a point, and I'm sure the answer for a lot of people might be different.
What does "to (sic) many Russians" mean? THAT sounds racist to me. Most Ukrainians have Russian ancestry, especially in the East.
I doubt you have ever been there.
Yeah Ukraine has to many Russians for my taste.
It's not racist, last time i checked i was white and so are Ukranians and Russians.
and even if it was racist, you don't seem to have a problem with it since you voted Ukraine in the poll, maybe the most racist country in Europe.
I just have to many bad experiences with Russians so i just try to avoid them as much as possible.
Just a few years back Croatia was associated more with war and conflicts than with anything else, but that general view is obviously changing - finally
I chose Czech Republic just for Prague. I also love the drinking culture .
