Italy.
Been there, enjoyed the visit, but definitely wouldn't want to live there, (although I've been confused for a local numerous times.)
Catholic culture - nope, thanks, not for me.

Don't worry about him. He has a severe case of allophilia and will certainly come around to praising the virtues of everything non-American.

Could someone with more patience and time than me please make a thread using the same format about US states/regions please?
Then all those (like me) who have never lived there, may not have been there or have no real interest in going there can make ill-informed and ignorant generalisations about them....

And most people would give their right arm to able to afford to live in Switzerland. It has the highest standard of living on earth, it's clean, gorgeous and the people leave you alone. And why wouldn't you want borders? They've avoided wars for hundreds of years, more power to them!

You are allowed to retain your weapon after your military service. Yes, all Swiss would give their right arm to live somewhere else.

from most to least favorite to live in:
1.Netherlands
2.England
3.Spain
4.Italy
5.Belgium
6.Luxembourg
7.Germany
8.Denmark
9.Sweden
I wouldn't even consider the other countries, they are either to expensive/to isolated/boring/not tolerant enough imo.
Northern Ireland would be my least favorite to live in.
