What is the equivalent: Laurea Specialistica in Storia dell'Arte

& Laurea in Scienze dei Beni Culturali (B.S. in Cultural Heritage)?

I am unsure what Laurea Specialistica means? Any American equivalent?

I am helping my friend who lives in Venice find an internship here in the states so I am helping with his resume. Thanks.

Laurea Specialistica is between a license and a master

more than a degree, but I don't know what's the equivalent definition in America

Art History, Archeology, Cultural Heritage

but why doesn't he ask to his teacher or tutor to help him? Hasn't he a professor to ask?
