That doesn't make sense, because Putin will lose any control over state companies, if people don't elect him. And others depend not only on people, but also on each other and Putin.

#2: state corporations attract a lot of attraction, so they can't steal more than a tiny fraction of income. Private companies, on the other hand, provide 100% of income to their owners.

They'll still elect him because of that "external threat" and "the nineties" factor that he exploits very well, and even if they don't elect him, he still elects himself.

May be he was learning German?

(What's even worse - he was apparently good in Math, and then he'd be a hopeless case in any language, Kamchatka or not... )
