Russia has 1.5 earners per household - which gives us a salary of about $42,534 at PPP, using minimal data. Plus investments.

Maybe you should stop wasting your time googling some stats, that you think will make Russia totally off?

Just wanted to add that GPD (with PPP) is usually used when noting the wealth of people in a country. The Economist uses it, so I think we can, too.
It's used to make certain countries look better. GDP, with PPP for GDP, is not an indicator of personal income, let alone wealth.

Actually, it doesn't. It says most people "considering" emigrating are young males. Seems to me they can "consider" all they want, but without job prospects, and without knowing a foreign lang. well, it's all just dreaming.

What?! Where did you come up with this "1.5 earners per household" stuff?! Where did you come up with $42,534? Link please.

Plus investments...that is RICH. You've written some pretty amazing stuff on these forums, but this might top it all off. Kudos

You're right. Stupid Economist and every other major financial journal and institution in the world: russianonline says it's meaningless!
Hey, could you paste your speech from your Nobel Prize in Economics? I know it'll be over my head, but I'll fight through it...promise.

This goes to #2:

2. Who believe that there-somewhere the average person has a big nice house, a nice car, and a few thousand bucks per month as spare cash.

He gets paid per each "exaggeration", rather than by the hour.

Multiply the average salary by 1.5 and then by 12.

You know, some Russians have businesses and other investments - some even multi-billion dollar ones.
