The Prime Minister in the U.K. is appointed by the Queen, which will be somebody of the majority party. It's (usually) the leader of the party/coalition that won the election. They do not vote for a President. Like the Germans, Austrians etc.

Ah, 4 pages.. I thought there was a big brawl going on, as usual.. Now I'm kinda disappointed.

Thanks for the link though, interesting stuff!
Can you provide documentation about Jenkinson? I can't find any.

Well, technically, yes. Eamon De Valera's father was from Cuba. His father is of Spanish descent. Another way De Valera could considered a minority when you consider that he was born in the USA.

Leon Blum, Jewish, was a premier of France.

On the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/one-drop-rule they used to have a photograph of the current premier or prime minister(?) of a Scandinavian country, who had a tiny amount of African ancestry, but I see the photograph has now been removed, and I don't remember the man's name. Maybe someone on here, knows who he is.

The great Eamonn de Valera, great nationalistic leader of the Irish Free State, was born in New York and had one parent from Spain.

The current Governor General of Canada (the last time I checked), is a woman of Haitian (part black) ancestry.
