I went all over Italy and found most had the stereotypical Italian look - dark eyes, dark hair, larger nose, deep-seated heavy lidded eyes.etc. Even in Como or Varese or Venice they didn't look much different to Naples, I feel the differences are exaggerated by some who want to try to look Nordic. Be proud about how you look and stop boasting about how blonde northern italy is, because even in Milan natural blondes are rare.

Yes Italy is definitely the darkest over-all at least in Western Europe. However you seem to exaggerate, there are many Italians who are also tall, blonde, redheaded, pale, blue-eyed as well. It's in northern Italy where you'd find Italians fulfilling that description, that's true not an exaggeration. Italians of the far-north are similar to their Europeans neighbors nearby southern parts of Switzerland, France and Austria.

39% blue eyes
90% in Normandy have light eyes

Here you have 30 pages of French people by region:
http://www.theapricity.com/forum/sho...-People/page16

Southern France between 20/50% light eyes
Northern France 50/80% light eyes
Most French people live in the North

So the majority have light eyes...

Obviously if you go to Marseille, Nice or Paris, there are the darkest features, the darkest eyes and hair colors because Most people in these cities are not from French descendents but from Africa, Tunisia, Moroco (there are more than 35% people in Marseille who have Marocan/Algerian parents), Algeria, Spain, Italy, Israel,...
The darkest French are close to the Spanish and Italian borders but you can easily distinguish them with their Spanish or Italian neighbours because they are quite physically different.

Stats for Italy:
28% have light eyes
14% blue eyes

Soutern and Central Italy:
between 1 and 19% have light eyes but it is closer to 8%

Extrem North of Italy:
between 20 and 49% have light eyes (18% blue eyes)

Italians are distinguishable from Austrians, It even holds true for northern italians as a whole. Ethnic german-swiss neither look like your average north italian, nor do the slovenes. The only bordering populations which arent that far apart in the looks department from northern italians are the SE french.

The fact that british Islander nationalities look extremely similar to eachother doesnt mean continental europeans do. It depends on geographical, cultural, linguistical and historical boundaries.

Most have blond or red hair?

You are getting too excited there, calm down, how credible is Apricity? Anyone can write whatever they want on the Apricity or Dieneke, etc... . The information you have given is all good, well written, nevertheless it is not backed by any specific study done by a university or scientific project or even a recent anthropological project. There has to be a fully done work an well studied scientific evidence to prove this, with the help of biologists, geneticists to prove such. It is impossible for Normandy to be 90% blue-eyed, while less than 40% have blue eyes! Are you thinking?

Again, why did you fudge some of the numbers here. In particular England should be 30% blond and 74% light eyed and Italy is 7% blond if this was a proper copy paste from the original. In general I wouldn't take this seriously. Stats need to be quantified in person, not through pictures on the internet. This shows how it was just an amateur Anthro buff and not an organized and funded professional study.

This seems to be very similar to a study which I posted earlier on this forum, but a different thread where I was arguing with Don Cabellero who labelled the Brits as "southern Euros". Did you get these stats from there? You are showing some bias here, because it seems that you have reduced the figures for the British Isles countries, this shows your partiality which is not correct. Remember this study was based on observation, and is not on a biological/genetical basis, there is no university backing this up. Thus it is not the absolute or accurate picture.

Well I base this on observations. I went to a shopping mall in Varese (absolutely packed btw) where almost no tourists go and no one speaks English, and the vast majority had dark brown to almost black hair, dark eyes, the 'Roman nose' and fairly dark, often olive skin. A saw a few who could pass for Bavarians, none who could pass for Northern Europeans. The few blondes I saw were mostly dyed blondes, one can tell from the eyes, pigmentation, roots. There are probably some differences but they seemed quite subtle.

You are absolutely right, however those figures are substantial or would not an educational institution backing that up. However more credible studies show that less than 30% of Frenchmen are blue-eyed, only the bluest-eyed regions of France go over 30% if that!
