Yes Italians are a very goodlooking people. I think Monica Bellucci is one of the most beautiful women in the world and Italian men are very handsome.

The reason some Italians look British is because there are a lot of Brits who are descended from Roman occupiers of old. In the north of Italy you will find blonde Italians - the further south you go the darker they get..It's not a mystery...it all has to do with adaptation and climate.

I once heard of an Italian with blue eyes, I refuse to believe it of course. I remember when Gianluca Vialli played for Chelsea every time he walked down the Kings road there would be 2 or 3 dozen of the local kids following behind claiming 'look any this dark man!! Doesn't he look funny!' With big grins on their luminous white pasty faces. The local girls would huddle on the street corners (in the shade of a tree obviously) hoping to catch the eye of the 'exotic' gentleman with their long ginger hair freshly combed.

It's not that common for Italians to look like British, even if they both have very dark hair. The British are always mostly pale or at least lighter-skinned, because their ancestors lived in a cool, cloudy climate for a long time. Italians are also a better-looking people than the average European look.

British don't look like Italians because of Roman influence in Britain.. genetically there is almost none. If there is any similarity is because Italic tribes of Italy, who became the Romans, were related to the Celts who populated the British Isles.

Dont overplay the facts, only 12% of northern italians are blond, compared to 4% in southern italy, the national average goes about 8% for whole italy. And remember the Natural "blonde" italians are even close in blondeness to your typical scandinavian, dutch or finnish natural blondes but rather more light brownish

most italian blondes (or who are considere blond by italian standards) have hair color like that:

which on reality looks more like lightbrown than rather yellow /golden blond..

Big difference with germanic blondism (scandinavian, dutch, german)

There are more Germans with your supposed "Italian dark blond" colour than the "Germanic" one.

The UK and Ireland were populated by Homo Sapiens some 15.000 years ago, during the Ice Age their inhabitants fled and was repopulated 9.000 years ago. The Celts are a culture, not a race, that is barely 3.000 years old. The Germanic element in England is rather minoritary and new, thet started to arrive when the Romans abandoned Britannia some 1600 years ago. Yes, the real inhabitants of England are related to ancient pre-Celtic cultures, the urn field culture, etc, that appeared in Western Europe after the glaciation....probably before, not known, of the arrival of Indoeuropeans.

Most of my german blond friends arent as blonde as koeman but neither as dark as de rossi, something in between.

Italy is one of the darkest country in Europe. So don't be surprised to see a lot of good-looking people like Monica Belluci, but blue-eyed blondes are found too, especially in the north.
