But certainly a lot of culture...so enjoy (not for me though)
Wao, there is a country you dislike more than France! (or as much?) ...
I am reading a history of Belgium and was wondering about the language issue, which does figure in the history, especially the later history (moving from a unitary state political system to a federal one). Occassionally this will pop up in the media here in the US, the language issue.
It seems there was, historically, a division between Wallonia and Flanders based on economics, too (Wallonia being the more industrialized and prosperous part of Belgium in the 19th century...tho there was industry in Antwerp and Gent. Apparently the US auto industry was building plants in Antwerp before WWII already).
..didn't realize Aachen, Maastrick and Liege are so close together! 30KM is fairly short disntance for an American like me....
I also read somewhere that Belgium has lighted its freeway...all of them even out in the countryside has or had streetlights. That's pretty interesting.
Belgium is nice, I like it there But many call it Belgistan nowdays as brussels is already 25% muslim
Lol, never heard the term Belgistan in my life, don't know where you got that from...

Nearly a quarter of Brussels inhabitants are indeed muslims. This fact appears in articles in the newspapers every now and then, most often when the dismal unemployment rate among young muslims is cited. I think together with Marseille and Malmö, it has the hightest muslim minority in Europe.

No, of Brussels, which he originally wrote in his post.
