Croatia and Slovenia are the only two Roman Catholic countries from the former Yugoslavia. The mountainous area of Slovenia is gorgeous.

You won't have problems in Macedonia, I have olive skin and was there in April. I think if you go to the rural villages you might have an issue but its like that here in the U.S. basically consider an outsider and what you doing here. Regardless of what skin color you are.

I always see that speaking English and holding a U.S. Passport defines your identity far more than race/color in nearly any international situation.

Here in Croatia are lot of tourist, blacks, whites, asians,etc and no one has a problem..And you will have no problem in Cro.. So just go and enjoy
