Yes but we do still use it and i'm pretty sure basically nowhere in Europe has used it for a long long time. I just thought i'd put that in there as he was trying to imply that we were a Metric country - when there has been alot of resistance to the introduction of metric measurements.

The BBC uses Celsius mainly and so does all UK weather sites.

The standard setting on BBC is Celsius and mph. One can change it to F and km/h.
On the radio news they also say Celsius values, not F.

Even on your conservative Daily Mail site they use Celsius as the default, just checked

Yea but the point (again) was that we are not a metric nation.

And we are probably the only country in Europe that actually make reference to F at all.
