(left Russia out)

Most visited = France
Most powerful economy = Germany
Most powerful military =Don't really know. The UK would be my first guess, but actually the French have some serious military power as well (despite the rightwing yankee hawks telling you otherwise)
Largest cultural contribution = UK probably (although frankly, the USA is the actual top dog here)
Largest population = Germany
Biggest cities = UK
Best cities = France (I'm thinking Paris, Nice, Bordeaux, Avignon, etc... here)
Quality of Life = France or Germany, I cannot make up my mind
Best cars = Germany
Best Food = France

Germany obviously. It has the strongest economy, better quality of life than UK or France, better food too.
In terms of show business and entertainment UK wins in Europe.

you will probably not live until it happens. so just admit that Germany is the top dog right now and for many more years to come.

In Europe, which country....

is the most visited? My vote goes to Italy. I checked Tripadvisor forums and, indeed, there are more threads in the Italy forum than in any other.

most powerful economy? Without a doubt, Germany.

most powerful military? I would think it's the UK, followed by France, followed by Germany.

largest cultural contribution(television, music, etc)? That would depend on historical scope - it could be Germany or Italy, depending on what one focuses on and what time period is deemed relevant.

largest population? Germany.

biggest and best cities? "Best" is a relative term and opinions will probably vary tremendously. Biggest cities (plural) - Germany; More big cities than any other EU nation.

quality of life? Again, that depends on the parameters. Overall, I'd guess that Denmark would rank toward the top of any such list.

who makes the best cars? Germany.

best food? Germany. Not so much the national food (although I find regional Bavarian food to be outstanding). However, the huge variety of cuisines from all over the world make for a never-ending smorgasbord.
