If you are comparing Italians (of all regions) with Spanish (of all regions), my observation is that they run the same gamut of skin colouring.

About the same, or even darker on average. My suspicion is northern Italians are darker than northern Spaniards, the differences between regions of Italy are exaggerated.

I'm sorry but I hate these types of threads...! What is the purpose? Are you American? In America people ask me 'where are you from' because I am kind of brown (I'm biracial)...! 'but you are tan!'

Some of the 'darker' skinned Italians are 'darker' than the 'lighter' skinned Spaniards however in an amazing quirk of fate Ive noticed that the 'lighter' skinned
Italians tend to be 'lighter' than the 'darker' skinned Spaniards!!! The only conclusion Ive come to is that (despite what I read on here) Italians are actually not all the same colour!!! In fact I have some Spanish cousins in my family and they're all different 'shades' too, with different eye colours to boot (despite being brothers!!). I wonder what I will discover next? Perhaps Germans aren't all blond! Maybe Scots aren't all redheads!!!

Southern Italians are darker than Spaniards, but northern Italians might be on par with them.
