Don't be a clown. Don't you know that as the result of the US meddling in Ukrainian affairs Russian nationalist movement now is sky high, not to mention overwhelming support given to Putin?

Putin admirers most likely killed Nemtsov, but Putin didn't order anything of this kind - it was simply not in his interests.
Agreed. There's nothing to gain and more to lose by offing him, not that it's a bad thing in general.

Yes, completely incomprehensible why someone killed Nemtsov. He worked in the government of Yaroslavl region and did not represent any threat to Putin.

Nemtsov murder happened the day before of the march of the opposition of anti-crisis "Spring", to be held on March 1, 2015. Someone very much wants to heat up the mood of society. This is terrible.

At this point, basically, if you are Russian, and you publicly oppose Putin, you will be either executed or jailed.

Here the most prominent opponents of Putin, and their fates-

Boris Nemstov- executed

Anna Politkovskaya- executed

Natalia Estemirova- executed

Aleksandr Litvinenko- poisoned

Aleksei A. Navalny- jailed

Aleksei is actually quite lucky he is jailed. On the street, the KGB will assassinate him like the rest. In jail it will be too obvious if he is killed, so at least there is some opportunity for him to eventually escape to freedom in another country, if he is ever released. But the KGB could always follow him abroad, and have him poisoned, as they have done with other Russian dissidents.

You have forgotten Magnitsky. But in everyday life, or, for example, in music, you can criticize Putin and deputies any words. For example.

I think that in your country for such songs is quite possible to go to jail. But if you go into politics, you have to follow certain rules.

But in the case of Nemtsov is clearly not the fault of Putin.

But actually Navalny is not in jail. He was given a suspended sentence.

As for Nemtsov, I was shocked. Russia is going really crazy.

Putin called it a provocation.

And it seems so. That guy was no threat...it's the first time I even heard about him.

As we can see, Nemtsov's is one of many who lived and died in a Russia where there is no free press be it newspapers or media.

The takeaway obviously is you check things out, you investigate, you die. Not an enticing existence.

Furthermore it doesn't appear the state is at any pains to pursue justice in these crimes. Such a lie, this supposed aspect of a legal-abiding Russia with laws. The image of Nemtsov's body lying in the street is indicative of how the law in Russia is dragged by murderers through the street.

These incidents show that it very difficult to match this up with an avowed Putinian 'destiny' of Russia. If it comes to fruition it would make a mockery of justice and freedom in its society. Simply having the law of thugs.
