Precisely 75 years ago Russian fascit beasts invaded my beautiful developed country and occupied us 20 years during which we had fallen from 10 most developed countries in the world to the most poorest in the world.
Currently we can witness another bestial act of war committed by Russians, it's obvious that Russians don't belong to the 21st. century, hatred and aggression is their culture their nature. We should finally isolate them from the civilized world.

You mean the Soviet Union invaded your Nazi-aligned Slovak Republic after it attacked the USSR? And you are surprised that the Soviets would attack a country after it had been attacked? Did you forget Hungary attack the Slovak Republic also? Did you forget the Slovak invasion of Poland? Did you forget the Slovaks deporting Jews to assist in the Holocaust? Di you forget the large number of Ukrainians as well as Russians and other Soviet military members who descended upon your country, yet somehow you only included Russia in this? Did you forget your Slovak Republic only rebelled against the Nazi's when it was clear the Soviets were going to win? Did you forget it was Brezhnev and Grenko who were both Ukrainian, along with most other Warsaw Pact countries that invaded Czeckoslovakia in 1968 resulting in what, 100 people killed?

And why you state "Russia" in this, very well knowing Russia was just a republic of the USSR?

"On 28 September, Chamberlain appealed to Hitler for a conference. Hitler met the next day, at Munich, with the chiefs of governments of France, Italy and Britain. The Czech government was neither invited nor consulted. On 29 September, the Munich Agreement was signed by Germany, Italy, France, and Britain."

"How horrible, fantastic, incredible it is that we should be digging trenches and trying on gas masks here because of a quarrel in a far-away country between people of whom we know nothing."

Neville Chamberlain, September 27, 1938, 8 p.m. radio broadcast.

"The most developed..."
Right.

Someone has to keep "West" at bay and to control it.
Well I'd say the West will be dealing with Russian perfidy for quite awhile . The clash of ideologies will continue...no end in sight. Par for the course. All ahead full. It is essential the West never rests when dealing with Rossiya. In the context of state and human affairs where freedom, individual and sovereign rights and the efficacy and rule of law are simply treated as rubbish and consigned to the wastebucket, it can be said that Rossiya can make no claim whatosver to edging the world toward a more satisfcatory state of affairs for the betterment of humanity. With her behavior in the Ukrainer she has shown herself bereft of respect to various peoples. How can she ever have anyone trust her?

And speaking of trust, how's that 'convoy'? Which is it? Butter or guns perhaps in the wheel wells?

Define 'deal'..
I noted that since I don't believe Rossiya has an extraordinary gift for compromise. One thing that anyone must know about negotiating with Rossiya is that she sometimes can say 'da' but as a diplomat once noted you can only count on it if it was only 'nyet'. Arguably with Rossiya it's usually 'their way' or the 'highway'.

What ideologies?
I don't see any clash of "ideologies" at this point - just a classic fight "capitalism 101" for money and resources.

Again - define "rests." Countries ( West including) SHOULD compete with each other. They should compete in economy, in social advances, in tech and science, heck -even in art. Because that's what brings the new developments in mentioned above fields. What they SHOULDN"T do, is becoming one unified production line, serving one and only goal of making money in the most efficient way and eliminating anything and everything that stands on the way of this process.
In this respect - no, the West should never "rest" while dealing with Russia ( and other way around,) so what's the other meaning you'd like to ascribe to the word "rests" here?

Now tell me please why *the West* treated these very definitions as rubbish consigned to the wastebasket, when it came to "freedom, and individual rights" of average Russians back in the nineties? Why did it conscientiously chose to deprive them of ability to develop the institution of private property, placing instead all the country riches in the hands of a few, with whom the West then enthusiastically shook hands? Where do you think Putin and Co got all their wealth and power, where did it come from to them, if not with the help of that very "West?" And now you are complaining about "Russia having no claim whatsoever" to whatever this claim is?

Now you know I hope where to start the "betterment of humanity."
And it ain't Russia.

If some "various people" would rather see you dead, would you care much for their "respect" when you decide to live instead?

Quote:
How can she ever have anyone trust her?
Oh the hand-wringing, oh the drama... do you mean that those "anyones" ever trusted Russia before?

Quote:

I'd hope they were guns, but I'm afraid it's just butter.

What's "compromise" Travric? What's "compromise"?

"The sort of legal barrier that prohibited doing something inside Syria now seems to have evaporated," he said.
Rhodes called the rescue attempt of Foley "entirely legal," saying "you don't need to be invited in if you're trying to rescue your people from imminent danger."

Is Obama heading toward airstrikes in Syria? - CNN.com

I am waiting to see another country besides the US put this into use...

Finally, the Russians have entered Ukraine to deliver desperately needed food and water to the poor starving people of East Ukraine. Ifcourse, the neo-Nazi Ukrainian government is saying it's an invasion, and along with the West is blaming Russia for creating this problem in the first place.
Nevermind that it was the neo-Nazi Ukrainian forces that invaded Eastern Ukraine, drove out 1 million people out of their homes, has blocked for weeks food into the region, is starving the populace,
has initiated along with EU and USA sanctions that in turn punishes those very same refugees, and is accepting military aid from a NATO country(Canada) which just flew into Ukraine on a big cargo plane.

Here is what will happen: Russian forces will (hopefully) enter Eastern Ukraine, neo-Nazi Ukrainian forces will be kicked out, Eastern Ukraine will either be an independent region or join Russia.
If neo-Nazi Western Ukraine wants to join NATO let them, good riddance.

and then western countries would turn eastern Ukraine into afghanistan... At least this time they won't have to worry about jihad.

How many times do you have to remind some of the posters on this thread that the Ukraine is a sovereign nation, it does not belong to Russia anymore. The fact that Russia entered the Ukraine without permission was a clear breach of international law, Russia thinks that this law does not apply to them.
