Yes, there is a split among Russian nationalists (into nationalists and nazis) with overwhelming majority supporting Russian fuhrer and his war to expand living space. Russian nazis fight to destroy Ukraine. A few genuine Russian nationalists fight to defend Ukraine against Russian nazi Empire that destroys Russian people too. I gave clearcut definitions of nazism and nationalism before.

Fascist regimes cannot be pacified with Sudetetlands, Crimea or Czechoslovakias, Russian regime and its nazi crazed population is not an exception. Beside, you have to be totally ignorant of history of that corner of the world to have any doubts about the ultimate Russian objective in Ukraine: to wipe out Ukraine and Ukrainian identity off the map. That is a Russian idee fixe. Giving up bits and pieces will not help Ukraine, sooner or later they will be forced to make a stand and/or cease to exist. Looks like few Ukrainians, even Russian speaking, have doubts about intentions of the Russian "brothers". 2014 -2015 cleared all the illusions.

You know very well such a move would be a casus belli for the west and provoke an armed confrontation with NATO or even a nuclear war. It is simply unthinkable, even if in your imagination Russians are bloodthirsty zombies.

I believe you distill your dissatisfaction with France into your love affair with Russian fuhrer without having much clue about Russian history in general, and Russian Ukrainian relationships in particular. Ukraine has paid heavy price for being a part of Russia. Did world rush to save millions of Ukrainian peasants starved to death, or hudreds of thousands Ukrainians killed for just being Ukrainians, Ukrainian intellectuals, poets, teachers, people killed just for speaking in Ukrainian, hundreds of thousands of the unarmed Ukrainian boys freshly conscripted and thrown at the German machine guns to teach a lesson. World didnt give a dime about uncounted millions of victims of Russian "spirituality".
Russians are bloodthirsty zombies alright, the bloodier Russians get the greater infatuation Europeans feel for Russia and its "mistique", especially French. But murder is just a subjugation tool among many, cultural assimilation and total ethnocide are primary weapons. Subdued Ukrainians were little more than suppliers of the bio material for the Russian collective. A significant chunk of the Russian nazis invading Ukraine now has Ukrainian roots, that is the price Ukrainians still pay.
