Socialism seems a lot more popular in the Celtic fringe and in northern England than it does in southern and middle England. I think a lot of this has to do with the working class element and the history of what Thatcher and Major's governments did in the 80s and 90s. The north and west of Britain were the "losers" of the shift right.

As far as social issues the west and north seem a bit more conservative and religious.

It really depends, they are similar due to the Celtic connection through language, culture, tradition, racially quite similar as well. Both populations have a high tendency for red hair, very fair skin with freckles, etc...Roughly 40% of Both Scottish and Irish are carriers of the MC1R red hair gene. The Scoti, a Gaelic-speaking people who invaded western Scotland, actually came from northern parts of Ireland. Scotland received its name from them. However there are also differences Scotland has a stronger Germanic link which came through Viking settlement in its northern isles and the northeastern part as well Anglo-Saxon settlement in the south. Scotland at times is more similar to England than Ireland, it's more Protestant while Ireland is Catholic.

I think you mean "migrated". In the UK the Vikings invaded then migrated after. The Anglos Saxons, from north Germany and Denmark, migrated. Vikings never took women with them, mixing with the local women. I do believe Viking women migrated to the British Isles.

Scotland and Ireland are indeed similar to me just with more religion differences.

They people still look very similar to me.

And look closer to other British secondly.

They Irish and Scots even look very Celtic/Scandinavian (Germanic) with some Breton and slight pseudo-Eastern European features.

They could look also Dutch, Belgian and Northern French.

They certainly do not look Iberian or Greek especially due to their completely opposite looks to each other.

Yes obviously Anglo-Saxon people were originally from southern Scandinavia and northern Germany, before they started migrating and eventually settling Great Britain from the 5th century, they came before what became known as Viking invasions, not the other way round.

To look Iberian/Greek is not a sin, but I agree with you that the majority of Scottish and Irish people are more similar the other people of Northern Europeans.
For example this Scottish rugby player is similar to typical Dutchmen looks.
