My ancestry is Swedish, and experienced the outgrowth of the Swedish culture growing up in Iowa and Minnesota. But I could not get over the differences in the social culture between the various Scandinavian Countries and that of Ireland.

Any feedback? Or will you reject my conclusions because you know someone from Ireland is not so friendly and a super friendly person from Finland.
The Irish are among the friendliest people in the world. So that explains it.

I visited Stockholm a few weeks ago and I could not disagree more. I found the people very friendly, helpful and respectful. I would go as far to say that it was probably the most friendliest city I have been to (more so than Dublin). It was a pleasant surprise.

No matter where I've been in the world, in my experience, in general, it's the poorest/less educated people who are the friendliest.

Ride the public buses, in any country, even in the U.S., and meet some friendly people!

People are bringing up rare exceptions to the general culture of both places. Stereotypes are true most of the time, not all of the time.

Sandinavians are not chilly at all, they are somber, somewhat at the fringe of sanity.
