Ukraine has appropriated part of the Russian land. Perhaps these lands could return to Russia after some time. But much will depend on the willingness of the inhabitants of these lands.

What about Estonia, Poland or Azerbajan for example? Or Finland?

Russia will defend Russia's geopolitical interests. Are you ready to fight against Russia? Or maybe it's time to go for mutual respect? Why NATO carries military operations without a UN Security Council resolution last 20 years? Why NATO supports anti-constitutional coups in the countries of the former USSR?

This is not the Russian land. Learn the history, if you want to understand Russia's actions in Ukraine.

I think Russia will connect to NATO like a member and take a part of decision-making.

Do you know Russian history? What, for example, "Kiev is the mother of Russian cities"? How Moscow united Russian lands after the Mongol invasion? How and under what conditions was populated "Wild Field"? How Russia was at war with the Ottoman Empire and received the Black Sea coast?

The UN Security Council exists for decision-making. The Council was formed after World War 2. Ignoring this organization will lead to a new war.
