If HALF of what they are saying here regarding the current energy prices in Ukraine is true, this is really-really bad.

Well lets see here. The pro Russian candidate in Sunday's election goes to Moscow to talk about how much lower gas prices would be if only he won. I'm sure Ukrainians care about gas prices more than anything else in life, and paying market price for gas is about enough to make them throw away their future and join Russia.

What's the matter? US Pro-American candidate (generally completely illegal) and not such a promise. But there's nothing wrong? )))

It looks like it's more than just "market gas prices." It's cost of food, it's the "healthcare reforms" ( hence the nick for their current Health minister "Dr. Death.")

I am not sure what "future" you are talking about.
Ukraine is depopulating faster than any other European country. 7o% of people or so don't believe in anything good for their children.

Ukraine ( as a country) doesn't have a "future" as much as people there would love to see it. Few OBJECTVE factors indicate it as far as I can see; Ukraine being sold into IMF loans slavery is not the least of them.

What kind of candidate is "Pro American". Its pro European. How after the election Russia will continue to present the chosen leader as being a puppet of America? Its their choice... And Putin made them this way.

Yep, that's why they need to demand an accountable government to root out corruption. The most important election is in October when they can boot out the idiot populists and obstructionists. But for now we can see if the comedian can pull it off. Its great to see they are having the national conversation out in the open now.

You'll see where the economy is doing better by where the incumbent will receive the most votes.

Ask your friends to translate this particular skit of "the comedian" from 16:35.
On a second thought - don't bother, I'll translate it myself;
After Noah ( with his wife and mother in law) has been brought to the "promised land," ( where they were supposed to "multiply and prosper," ) and God showed him around, Ze ( Noah) after admiring the view, starts asking God very practical questions: "Does this land have the natural resources? Does it have for example oil?

-No, says the Lord, - Arabs will have oil.
-How about gas?
-No, Russians will have it.
-Does it have diamonds?
-No, Africans will have diamonds.
-Dear Lord, what kind of land is that, that doesn't have anything ( of value?)
-This great land is called "Ukraine."

Curtains.

Ukraine has bountiful resources, namely fertile soil with good growing conditions as well as iron, coal, manganese, titanium and yes gas. The problem is it has a bunch of ex soviets living there who want to reap the benefits through corrupt means.

The "problem" is - the foreign corporations want that "fertile soil with good growing conditions" for themselves, with limited number of Ukrainians remaining to serve the corporate needs.
Another problem I see is that no Ukrainian ( or Russian for this matter) ex-Soviet crook made his/her dirty money without American/Western help and involvement.
So at this point I am listening with a big curiosity about yet another scandal, that's unfolding in Poroshenko's team, including the Ukrainian owner of Burisma, where Hunter Biden is happily sitting on the board of directors.

And since Ukrainians are "naming names" at this point, ( not just H. Biden, but John Kerry stepson Chris Heinz, plus their good buddy Devon Archer) so I had to do some cross-reference checks, and lo and behold... Here we go again;

"Inside the shady private equity firm run by Kerry and Biden's kids"

"Rather than set up shop in New York City, the financial capital of the world, Rosemont Seneca leased space in Washington, DC. They occupied an all-brick building on Wisconsin Avenue, the main thoroughfare of exclusive Georgetown. Their offices would be less than a mile from John and Teresa Kerry’s 23-room Georgetown mansion, and just two miles from both Joe Biden’s office in the White House and his residence at the Naval Observatory.Over the next seven years, as both Joe Biden and John Kerry negotiated sensitive and high-stakes deals with foreign governments, Rosemont entities secured a series of exclusive deals often with those same foreign governments.
Some of the deals they secured may remain hidden. These Rosemont entities are, after all, within a private equity firm and as such are not required to report or disclose their financial dealings publicly."

He-he.

But let's read on..

Biden's nepotism and Hypocrisy in Ukraine

"Cyprus:Haven for tainted Russian and Ukrainian money

Western consultants, lawyers and investment bankers were hired by Burisma, not for their expertise on Ukraine or the gas sector—which none of them had—but to camouflage its corrupt origins and provide it with a glossier look. In other words, to launder its tattered image. As author Oliver Bullough asked in The Guardian: “Hunter Biden is an undistinguished corporate lawyer, with no previous Ukraine experience. Why would a Ukrainian tycoon hire him?”

It would be duplicitous to deny there was a link between Biden and his son in Burisma. There cannot be any reason other than that his father was vice president as to why Hunter Biden was hired in April 2014, only two months after the success of the Euromaidan Revolution. Burisma needed to re-launch its image after its previous patron, kleptocrat Viktor Yanukovych, had fled to Russia.
Burisma’s owner, Zlochevsky, is no saint. Most people—other than Hunter and his team—have shied away from associating with him. It would be naïve to believe that Burisma experienced spurts of growth purely by coincidence while Zlochevsky was in office.
Founded in 2006 and registered in Cyprus—a haven for tainted Russian and Ukrainian money—Burisma is the third largest gas producer in Ukraine, controlling a quarter of private gas production. Nevertheless, it is not viewed by the Ukrainian government as a legitimate gas company. Meanwhile, Burisma’s close ties to oligarch Igor Kolomoisky place it beyond the pale for President Poroshenko, who clashed with the tycoon after he brought armed paramilitary thugs into downtown Kiev."

Another he-he.

You and your righteous indignation DKM...

It's a bit misplaced, don't you think?

Still clinging to 5 years old propaganda? Ukraine's land need to be privatized already, as it is a source of corruption. I see, Russians blame America for other Russians stealing all of their country's money. Fortunately this actor sees right through it and agrees Ukraine's farms will be better off privatized (oh those evil corporations). No matter how you cut it, the profit motive allocates resources more efficiently than state gosplans.
