That's a correct observation Abhity.
Russia ( out of all other Slavic countries) has the engine of her own ( both cultural, spiritual and political) - strong enough to be a world power, that other Slavic countries lack.
That's why they have to "follow leaders" - i.e. other countries with the such engines, whoever they might be for any historic period - Germany, Russia or the US.

Well- Croats or Slovenes, or Czechs. Those who are distant from Russia and have not had many connections with it.

Gas pipeline and rail link to S. Koread revived as Russia, Koreas pledge economic ties

https://www.ft.com/content/b7ed26e8-...6-75a27d27ea5f

One-third of end natural gas charges are generated through distribution fees paid to the nation hosting the pipeline. Hence, you see the US and Ukraine attempting to throw up roadblocks to alternative routes in spite of "cheap" natural gas.

US informed their proxies in Southern Syria that they are on their own

It may have also shut down the possibility of a false flag chemical attack by the rebels since it is of no use.

Few people in the US, Canada or Australia care about the World Cup, since soccer is not very big around here.

EU natural gas production has fallen by a third this decade. They can only meet about a third of their needs through gas production.

Once again, neither of those statements are true nor supported by the article you linked. But its interesting to read about the US's expanding natural gas market, a given since we are the largest gas producer in the world.

You haven't rebutted them either. I didn't say what the external sources were as it was not important to my statements. With blinders permanently on, you can make any statement you want. It doesn't matter to anyone else who has eyes, ears, or brains. There is more to reading or evaluating information than treating it like a sport homer where you always root for one entity or root against the rest. If you read like a homer that you are, everything seems like it is either in favor of your side or against even if there was no such statement, explicitly made or implied.

What the previous post does is contradict the stupid rhetorical and fact-less claim that gas is cheap therefore nothing is done in pursuit of these sources.
